Journalist Lorenzo Christian Musangamfura has stirred confusion among his fans after declaring that he is following in the footsteps of Yago Pondat and joining the music industry.
Lorenzo Christian Musangamfura, a journalist at RBA working on the sports show Urubuga rw’Imikino alongside Rugaju Reagan, Kwizigira Jean Claude, Axel, and others, surprised many after announcing that he had officially turned to music — a field already occupied by Nyarwaya Innocent.
Referring to a video shared by Nyarwaya Innocent, popularly known as Yago in Rwandan entertainment, where Yago said: “Starting from July 29, 2025, music is now my top priority, with Yago TV Show coming second,” Lorenzo responded by posting: “Yago Pondat just said it all for me.”
After that post, fans flooded him with questions, seeking clarification about his transition into music. One fan, curious about his absence from the sports show, wrote:
“Lorenzo, whatever this means, we hope it will be clear soon. But as people who love and support you, we were surprised you weren’t on Urubuga rw’Imikino like usual. We believed you were someone dependable and honorable, but now we’re hearing words like ‘fired’ or ‘suspended.’ What’s really going on?”
Lorenzo responded cryptically, saying: “Time will explain everything.”
Another fan commented: “Lorenzo, we want to hear you on the mic again.”
To which he replied: “I’m going into music.”
This comes amid rumors of tension between Lorenzo Christian Musangamfura and Rugaju Reagan. However, Lorenzo later stated that he has great respect for Rugaju.
It was also speculated that following disagreements, Lorenzo may have been dismissed from his position, though no official confirmation or denial has been made.
